Be the best that you can be!

School Community Support Worker

My name is Mrs Reddie and I am the School Community Support Worker.

My role is to work in partnership with parents and carers, pupils and local agencies to support families.

I am available during term time to help you in whatever way I can.

I understand that there are times when things can make it difficult to have a happy and successful home and school life and I am here to help families when they are experiencing difficulties.

I have 5 years experience supporting children and families and over that time I have gathered a lot of valuable knowledge in ways to help families achieve a positive outcome for themselves and their children.

To do this I can:

  • work with parents and carers to try to support them with any issues regarding their child's welfare in school,
  • help parents and carers with any other parenting issues they would like  guidance with including family functioning, child development and emotional and behavioural difficulties;
  • work with parents and carers to help to make sure that their child is safe, happy, enjoying school and making the most of the opportunities it beings.
I do this by:
  • offering parents the opportunity to discuss any concerns;
  • offering one to one support;
  • giving confidential support and guidance;
  • signposting parents and carers to services who may be able to support;
  • working with the parents to address any attendance issues;
  • putting on workshops to help parents promote positive parenting.

For more information, or if you would like to speak to me, please contact the school and ask to make an appointment.
